I had mixed feelings about my stay at the Grand Hotel Oslo. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city with easy access to attractions, but the room left a lot to be desired, particularly the amenities. I appreciated the friendly staff and the quality breakfast, but the noise and some dated elements made it less enjoyable overall.

Rooms

My room was a bit dated and cramped, lacking some expected amenities like a toilet brush and proper storage. The mattresses were way too soft for my liking, and I had to request boards to make it more comfortable. It felt like the room was not up to 5-star standards.
Service
7.0
The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, always ready to help with recommendations and inquiries. However, I did experience some frustration with communication regarding my taxi booking, which ended up costing more than I thought.

The location couldn't have been better. It's central, right on Karl Johan street, and within walking distance to popular tourist spots like the Royal Palace and the National Theater. It made getting around super easy.
Dining

Breakfast was definitely the highlight with a wide selection of quality food, including fresh salmon and pastries. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a seat at the bar in the evenings, and the dining setups were a bit strict, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The gym and pool were quite small and often crowded, making it hard to get a workout in. Plus, I wasn't thrilled about being charged extra just to access the pool. Overall, the facilities felt a bit limited for a hotel in this price range.

My stay at the Grand Hotel was quite good, surrounded by the charm of its historic architecture. though I encountered a minor hiccup with my room's view not being what I expected. The breakfast buffet was really good, offering a wide variety of choices that made my mornings enjoyable. Overall, the staff were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, which really enhanced my experience.

My weekend stay at the Grand Hotel Oslo was absolutely good! The location was perfect for exploring the city, and the level of service provided by the staff made me feel truly special. While there were a couple of minor issues like the laundry pricing being quite steep, the overall experience, including the luxurious atmosphere and stunning views from the rooftop bar, far outweighed them. 🏨✨

My stay at the Grand Hotel Oslo was quite nice, bolstered by the elegant ambiance and helpful staff. However, my initial room experience was less impressive, as it took a while to warm up and I encountered multiple issues with the amenities. Despite this, the perfect dining options and the unique charm of the hotel made my trip enjoyable overall.

I found my room spacious and equipped with classic furniture, but I initially struggled with a freezing temperature and a lack of essential amenities, like a kettle. After some hassle, I ended up with a different room that also had its own issues.
Service

Most staff members were friendly and eager to help, yet my experience with the reception was frustrating due to delays during check-in and ongoing issues throughout my stay. There's room for improvement in their customer service approach.

My stay at the Grand Hotel Oslo had its highs and lows. The location is fantastic and allows easy access to local attractions. However, I encountered some issues with the room amenities and the breakfast service, which was quite messy at times. The charm of the historic building is undeniable, but some aspects felt outdated. Overall, it was a mixed experience. 😊🛏️

While the gym had a good variety of equipment, the pool facilities were smaller than I expected. Overall, the amenities were decent, but improvements could enhance the overall experience.
